Your Journey

Your Journey

From your first appointment with Dr Onuma, you will feel heard and understood, while you begin to build rapport which is important for the success of any medical care. Ask as many questions as you have and share what and how you feel at the first and every follow-up consultation.

An assessment and appropriate investigations to establish a diagnosis or diagnoses (as there is often more than one) will follow before a series of potential solutions and outcomes are discussed with you.

With guidance from Dr Onuma, a decision will be made as to how to proceed once knowledge, choices, and alternatives are shared. This is a critical step to any surgical intervention and ensures a first-class service to improve the quality of life and function of each patient seeking help.

You will receive a questionnaire to complete prior to your first appointment.

Dr Onuma is the author of So, You Want A Labiaplasty and The Ultimate V. These books are unique and aimed at women considering their options for labial, vaginal and pelvic floor improvement.

What to bring to your first appointment:

  • Your referral letter.
  • The results of any previous tests or investigations.
  • The films or reports from any previous imaging investigations.
  • A complete list of your current medications (or bring them with you).
  • A support person if appropriate for you.
  • A list of questions that you wish to ask.

Excellence in Form and Function. Prevent, Treat and Maintain.
