Receptionist and Clinical Assistant
have been working at Dr Onuma’s practice since July 2011. Prior to starting here, I spent 9 years as an aged-care worker, working in the community for 18 months and then moving to a residential care facility. My role has changed significantly and I now have a much greater level of responsibility. I interact with people from different parts of Australia and other parts of the world as a result of Dr Onuma’s national and international reputation.
t work we adopt a well-regulated system of patient care that allows us to treat patients safely and whilst this is important, what I really like is Dr Onuma’s approachability and ability to make his patients relax even when they are initially out of their comfort zones. Dr Onuma said to me very early in my employment here, “First the person, then the patient,” and every day that I work for his practice, the more I understand the relevance of that ethos.
